There are many benefits to using Startup Guru including....
Management:
You can easily and saftely manage your startup options. Use different
profiles to start up different programs. You decide which applications should
start up and which should not based on an assigned profile.
Temporarily disabling:
Not sure what something is or if it
is required by another program? Simply temporarily disable the item by moving it
to the disabled list. Then if you find you need the program to start up the next
time you can add it back to your profile.
Adware/Spyware Removal:
Easily find programs that are starting
up when you boot that shouldn't be there. These programs drain resources!
Scheduling:
By default all programs that are started up by Windows
itself are more or less started at the same time. In doing so your available
system resources are gone in seconds. By scheduling your applications to
startup, or at least spacing them out, your computer resources will not be
swallowed up by all the programs at once. Giving each program some time to start
will allow everything to flow smoothly.
Profiles:
By creating different profiles you can control how Windows
will boot up the next time you restart your machine.
Location, location, location:
Several registry areas as well as
Startup Folder areas are listed and programs can be added, edited and even
removed as needed! Startup Guru inspects the Run, RunOnce and RunOnceEx areas
for both Current User and Local Machine registry entries as well as the Startup
folders on the hard drive for the Current User and All Users. Additionally the
Run and Load sections of the System.ini and Win.ini files are examined. These
files are checked for older programs as they are currently rarely used.
